Shiv Impex manufactures a full spectrum of high-carbon cast steel abrasive media conforming to SAE J827, SAE J444, and IS 4683 specifications.
Our spherical Steel Shots deliver high rebound resilience for blast cleaning castings, forgings, structural steel sections, and peening leaf springs. Our angular Steel Grits (crushed from fully hardened shot) provide sharp geometric facets that quickly scour rust, mill scale, and old coatings, creating the ideal anchor pattern (Sa 2.5 - Sa 3.0) for paint and lining adhesion.
Steel Grit Hardness Classifications:
- ✓ GP Grade (40-50 HRC): Angular as new, rounds off in working mix for general descaling and pipe cleaning.
- ✓ GL Grade (54-60 HRC): Intermediate hardness, retains sharp cutting edges for heavy mill scale removal.
- ✓ GH Grade (> 60 HRC): Maximum hardness (≥ 64 HRC), retains angular profile throughout working life for air blasting, gang saw granite cutting, and epoxy profiling.
