Unlike cast steel shot that suffers from internal porosity, hollow centers, and micro-cracking, cut wire shots are forged by severe wire drawing deformation, giving them 100% solid density and 2 to 3 times the operational lifespan of cast media.

Conditioning Classifications:

  • As-Cut (CW): Sharp cylindrical edges for heavy cleaning, casting descaling, and rough profiling.
  • Single Conditioned (G1): Chamfered corners for general blast cleaning and light peening.
  • Double Conditioned (G2): Semi-spherical shape for intermediate peening intensity.
  • Fully Conditioned Spherical (G3): Perfect sphere with zero corners, meeting aerospace AMS 2431 shot peening specs.
